A word you will always here all the time being used. It is the difference between winning and losing measured by a lifetime of accomplishments. But what really defines a man’s potential of success? Is it the car he drives, the lifestyle he lives or just another ideal he’s overcome the odds that no one else has? Success has been defined as, the achievement of something desired, planned, or attempted, not what assets you have. When looking at all the great people in life who graduated college it is success because they determined their minds to do something greater that they had never done before. Bill Gates once said, “Its fine to celebrate success but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure.” When accomplishing your goal you become well off satisfied and comfortable with whom you are and sometimes get in the comfort zone helping learn from that is the failure which by far is your trial and error of being more successful and challenging yourself more. The greatest of these is Nelson Mandela

who didn’t have the wealth nor the achievement but, the success of South Africa being free from apartheid. After fleeing from is parents arranged marriage he fled to Johannesburg where his journey began. Finishing his bachelors he enrolls in the African National Congress and eventually finds the ANC Youth League with Anton Lembede, AP Mda, Oliver Tambo and Walter Sisulu to overthrow apartheid. Later in 1956 he becomes arrested and charged with high treason and is latter sentenced to life in Prison in the summer 1964. After 27 years he is released in 1990 and votes in 1994. What was his success?  Well it sure wasn’t money, but South Africa being One Nation free from apartheid. After many pleas for him to be free and not parade for freedom, after denying all those opportunities to be free, he achieved what others would call freedom, success. Apartheid free, and unity between all people he accomplished what others rarely called a feet of victory, success. Years later the first world cup was held in Johanesburg, South Africa with every country, Nation, and Tongues playing for the FIFA World cup. “Madiba,” as the local South African’s called him did what few could do leaving a Legacy of great Success. So what is it that you define as success? For it comes to those who want it more and to those that will be willing to work hard to achieve it!!

"Success isn't what defines you but, what you mold yourself into"
